At our medical clinic in Paraguay, one of our teams encountered a little girl, about 7 or 8 years old, who had come with her mother to see the doctors about a minor sore throat. As soon as the team saw her, they noticed that her left eye appeared lazy and crooked. Curious to know more, they learned that she had experienced pain around that eye and all over her head since birth.

The team began to minister to her and prayed with her. As they prayed, the little girl placed her hands over her eyes. When the prayer ended, she started rubbing her eye and began to weep. When she finally collected herself, the team noticed that her eye had become noticeably straight. Struggling to find the words, she eventually told the team that all the pain—around her eye, in her head, and even in her throat—was completely gone! She also shared something extraordinary: she had heard someone whisper, “I love you,” in her ear. The team gently told her that it was Jesus speaking to her.

The moment was overwhelmingly emotional for everyone, as this precious girl had just experienced a profound encounter with God. As if that weren’t enough, the icing on the cake came when she and her mother asked where the checkout was. They hadn’t even seen a doctor yet but no longer needed to—they were ready to leave, completely healed, and forever changed!
