Even as a young girl, Jamie had a deep relationship with Jesus and was devoted to studying law, hoping to help make the world better. After graduating high school at 17, Jamie took a year to prepare for college and law school. During this season, she heard God speaking about HIS plan for her life, and she quickly laid down her plans for a career in law. With that, Jamie set out on her first mission trip to Nicaragua, which impacted her deeply. In 2007, after several mission trips to Latin America, Jamie connected to Global Ventures through a friend; and her first GV trip to the Philippines changed everything, truly opening her eyes to how many people had never heard the Gospel!
Jamie started as a Global Ventures intern in 2008 and quickly joined the ranks of the GV lead team serving from 2008-2016 as the Mission Trips Director. After sensing God’s leading, she stepped away for a few years. During this time, she served on the team at Life Impact International, where she helped to fight child exploitation and rescue children from trafficking in Thailand, Myanmar, and Brazil. In 2022, Jamie felt led to step down from her current role, and the door opened for her at GV. Jamie is overjoyed to be back with Global Ventures as a full-time missionary, where she serves as an assistant to John and Martine Smithwick. Her role in the GV office has changed, but the mission is still the same – get the Gospel to as many as possible.
Role at GV & Ministry Plans
As Executive Assistant to John & Martine, Jamie operates daily in various areas, helping oversee aspects of marketing, communications, event coordination, and donor relations.
Jamie will continue serving on the leadership team on GV trips, once again leading GV team members in sharing the Gospel in schools and on the streets and helping with GV’s mass evangelism projects (crusades/festivals).

Global Ventures is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization, and all donations are tax-deductible. Your giving will go directly towards ministry costs.
