Global Ventures
4 billion people have never heard the Gospel of Jesus one time, and 2 billion of those have no access to the Gospel at all… no church, Bible, or Christian literature within reach. The world’s immense population alone compels us to host evangelism events that gather large amounts of people, providing them the chance to hear the Gospel in their lifetime. The Harvest is plenteous, and the time is short! Large-scale crusades create a powerful opportunity to reach large numbers of people all at once.
Global Ventures was founded in 1998 by John and Martine Smithwick with the vision of training and equipping the church to go to the harvest fields. Our Mission is to facilitate a Global Evangelism movement by raising up an army of front-line harvesters who effectively minister the Gospel to the unreached masses, and as a result – win a billion souls to Christ.

THE 10/40 WINDOW
The 10/40 Window spans from 10 degrees south to 40 degrees north of the equator, housing most of the world’s population and facing significant poverty. It is a hub for Islam, Hinduism, and Buddhism, with the most unreached people groups. Although Global Ventures conducts evangelism projects all over the world, most of our projects are in the 10/40 window.
Global Ventures impacts nations through evangelism, crusade festivals, discipleship, service projects, and church planting; and as a result, we are making an impact across nations that will resonate for eternity. With over 2.5 million salvations, we aim to change the statistics of those who have no access to the Gospel and transform lives forever by spreading Christ’s hope worldwide.
TEAM MINISTRY
Global Ventures’ missions team is a vital part of the evangelism projects by spreading the Gospel in parks, neighborhoods, school assemblies, as well as conducting community outreaches and distributing humanitarian aid through strategic service projects.
CITY-WIDE CRUSADE FESTIVALS
Team ministry culminates into evening crusades where hundreds to tens of thousands join to hear the Gospel powerfully proclaimed through a multi-media presentation. The open-air festivals use multiple elements to ensure a profound impact on individuals, communities, and even entire regions, resulting in thousands of salvations and healings.
CHILDREN’S CRUSADE FESTIVALS
Where children are often overlooked, GV conducts a special event just for them! For a brief time, children are given the opportunity to have fun with games, prizes, and costume characters. As the event unfolds, children are captivated by a dynamic Gospel presentation, bringing them hope through Jesus Christ. A new generation is impacted as thousands of precious children freely give their hearts to Jesus!
At Global Ventures, we believe in the importance of the local church and the missions mandate entrusted to the entire body of Christ. We serve as a mission’s outlet for churches leading teams in effectively ministering the Gospel on Global Ventures mission trips. These trips provide firsthand encounters with global missions, fostering a deeper commitment to evangelism and discipleship both at home and abroad. Through these initiatives, we strive to forge meaningful partnerships with churches, working together to fulfill the Great Commission and leave a lasting impact for Christ.
