Fundraising Kit

Fundraising can be intimidating, but it doesn’t have to be! After all, missions doesn’t just benefit you, it changes lives and allows your givers an outlet to make an impact. There are so many creative ways to fundraise. So, we have put our ideas all in one place so you can see what’s a good fit for you!

But most importantly, TRUST GOD. He is the one who put this desire in your heart, and He is the one who will help make it happen. Trust that He’ll give you favor and success. Trust that as you take steps and put action to your faith that He will back you up. He’s faithful.

Friendly Tips

Don’t Wait. Seriously, the early bird really does catch the worm. It’s the same when raising funds. The earlier you start, the more time and options you have. Let’s face it, most fundraisers take planning and can’t be done in a few days. When you start right away, you don’t end up down to the wire (when payments are due), scrambling to come up with funds.

Plan Ahead. Make a plan for the year. Plan specific fundraisers (keeping deadlines in mind) and what needs to be done each month to keep you on track. We also have a list of fundraisers for individuals and groups.

Online Giving Page

We have setup an online giving page for team member donations.  We encourage you to share this link with your supporters.  It is a secure and convenient way for them to give toward your trip.

#1 ON OUR LIST

THE BEST, MOST EFFICIENT WAY TO RAISE FUNDS FOR YOUR TRIP

Support Letters

We find this method most effective. For your convenience, we’ve already created the letter so all you have to do is input your info and it’s ready to print! Send a letter to all your church friends, family, local businesses, local clubs; everyone and anyone you can think of. We encourage you to make an additional list of 25-50 people that are not in your church. This will help you think outside of the box – you would be amazed to see who is willing to help you!

Another option is to take the number of letters you are sending and the cost of your trip and divide those numbers. In the letter, you can ask everyone to give that specific amount. For example, “I have sent out 50 letters to friends and family, and if everyone gives $60, my trip will be paid in full.”

Follow-up on Your Letters

THIS IS CRUCIAL! 3-5 days after you send your letters make a follow-up call to everyone. Ask them if they have received your letter and if they could help send you. Many people will receive your letter and have good intentions of sending you something, but then forget – so it is important to call them. (For local businesses a personal visit is best.)
