Packing List for Global Ventures Team Members (2017)

LUGGAGE

  • ONE suitcase and ONE backpack

DOCUMENTS

  • Flight itinerary (Global Ventures will mail you this a few weeks before your trip)
  • Passport

CLOTHING (Please be mindful and bring modest attire).

  • 5-7 shirts (NO sleeveless, low-cut, or midriff shirts will be allowed)
  • 3-6 pairs of jeans or capris (below the knee)
  • Jacket and/or sweatshirt (for colder climates)
  • Undergarments & Socks (enough for 10-12 days)
  • One-piece swimsuit and shorts to the knee (or a cover-up) for walking from your hotel room to the pool. *(Not all hotels will have a pool, please contact GV to see if you will need a swimsuit.)
  • Crusade – Men: 1-2 collared shirts, 1 pair of dress pants
  • Crusade – Women: Dress shirts or blouses, 1-2 dresses or skirts below the knee 

NOT ALLOWED:

  • SHORTS, YOGA & SPANDEX PANTS ARE NOT PERMITTED DURING MINISTRY (Street or Crusade). You can wear these items during training times. If you wear them for ministry though, you will be asked to change.

FOOTWEAR

  • Flip flops (for the shower, if you’d like)
  • Tennis shoes (that you don’t mind getting dirty)
  • 1 pair of nicer dress shoes for the crusades

TOILETRIES

  • Towel and washcloth
  • Soap & Shampoo
  • Toilet paper
  • Hand sanitizer
  • Antibacterial /Baby wipes
  • Anti-diarrhea medicine
  • Pain relievers (Advil, Tylenol PM, etc.)
  • Feminine products (ladies only)
  • Electrolytes (you can find these in “chew” form or powder form to mix in your water)
  • Sunscreen (at least SPF 30)
  • Insect repellent (with DEET)

MISCELLANEOUS (helpful items)

  • Snacks (enough to last 10 days)
  • Bible, notebook, and pen
  • Camera
  • Water bottle
  • Battery operated alarm clock
  • Mini flashlight
  • Spending money for souvenirs (suggested $50-$100 USD per week, cash only)
  • Raincoat or poncho
  • Dictionary (translate from English to national language)
  • CREDIT CARD (We highly recommend that you bring a credit card to be able to use in case of emergencies.)

**NOTE:  Theft is always a possibility with traveling abroad. PLEASE DO NOT BRING ANYTHING THAT YOU CAN’T AFFORD TO LOSE.
