One of our teams encountered Alex, a 46-year-old man, on a street corner in Chile. Alex was homeless, struggling with stomach cancer, a tumor, and great pain. His situation was heavy, but that day God had a different plan for him.

The team began to minister to Alex, praying for the tumor and cancer to leave his body. As they prayed, Alex felt a change. Overwhelmed, he dropped to his knees and began checking his stomach in disbelief. The tumor that had plagued him was gone. He pressed on his stomach again and again, repeating with tears streaming down his face, “It’s gone! It’s gone! There’s no tumor!”

Emotion overcame him as the reality of the miracle set in. Right there on the street corner, Alex prayed to receive Jesus as Lord!

Alex shared that he had been scheduled to go to the hospital that same day for an operation but after what God had done, he said he didn’t think it would be needed anymore. What began as another painful day on the streets turned into the day his life—and eternity—was changed forever.
