WHAT MAKES THE GLOBAL VENTURES INTERNSHIP DIFFERENT FROM OTHER MINISTRY INTERNSHIPS?

The Global Ventures Internship was designed to equip those who have a passion to win the lost and unreached people of the world. We are neither a Bible school, nor a church; we are a training center for those who have mass evangelism/ world missions on their heart.

WHAT WILL MY TYPICAL SCHEDULE LOOK LIKE?

While schedules will vary based on ministry opportunities, a normal week for a Global Ventures internship looks like this:

Tuesday-Thursday:  8:30-3:30 – In office training & work.

This will include teaching sessions, missions projects, and hands on training.

Friday-Monday: Off – These days are an opportunity for you to work an outside job if needed.

HOW LONG DOES THE INTERNSHIP RUN?

The Internship is a 12-month program, beginning in September, and ending in August.

WHAT IS THE COST OF THE INTERNSHIP?

Tuition is $2,000. This covers the cost of books, ministry material, ministry training and guest ministers. You will be responsible for your own living expenses; the cost of monthly housing, transportation, food and other living expenses are not covered by the internship.

CAN I MAKE MONTHLY PAYMENTS TOWARDS MY TUITION?

$1000 is due on August 31st, and the remaining balance can be paid in monthly installments of $100 until paid in full.

DO I STILL NEED TO RAISE SUPPORT FOR THE TRIPS I’M ATTENDING?

Yes. Interns are still responsible to raise the support for any of their Global Ventures trips, however we will train you how to effectively raise the funds through various fundraisers and partner communication.

DOES GLOBAL VENTURES PROVIDE HOUSING FOR INTERNS?

Housing is available, however space is limited. Once you have been accepted into the internship, we will work with you to find the best living arrangement possible. If Intern housing is full, we will provide you with information about nearby apartment complexes that you can look into.

WHAT KIND OF COMPUTER AND SOFTWARE DO I NEED?

We prefer that interns have their own MacBook Air or MacBook Pro in order to work efficiently with the software we use in the office. If you have any specific software questions please call our office at 918.266.5764.

CAN I HAVE A JOB WHILE ENROLLED IN THE INTERNSHIP?

Yes, we encourage interns to find a good part-time job in the Tulsa area to work Fri-Mon. This has been the best way for Interns to afford their living expenses while at the internship. We also encourage interns to raise as much support before moving to Tulsa in the fall.

CAN I ATTEND OTHER FORMS OF SCHOOLING WHILE INTERNING?

Some of our interns have opted to take online classes while enrolled in the internship, however, as a member of Global Ventures you are required to attend all ministry events, so studies would need to take place during your free time.

IS GLOBAL VENTURES ASSOCIATED WITH A CHURCH OR DENOMINATION?

We are not affiliated with any specific church or denomination, although we work with many.

DO I NEED TO ATTEND A BIBLE SCHOOL OR COLLEGE FIRST?

You are welcome in the internship regardless of whether you’ve graduated from Bible School or college. The GV Internship is geared towards practical learning and life application with an emphasis on reaching the lost. Many of the interns who have previously attended a form of Bible School or college find that interning enriches their education by providing them with a unique practical outlet for what they have already learned, but in no way is it a requirement.

HOW OLD DO I NEED TO BECOME AN INTERN?

The internship is open to people ages 18 and up.

WHEN WILL I KNOW IF I AM ACCEPTED OR NOT?

Once we receive your application we will begin the interview process. This could take anywhere from 1-2 months depending on the interview schedule.
