One of our teams met Mirta, a 50-year-old woman, while visiting a local hospital. She was sitting in the waiting room. For the past 10 years she had suffered with arthritis throughout her body.

As the team shared the Gospel presentation and offered prayer, Mirta joined in with an open heart. Right there in the hospital waiting room, something incredible began to happen. The pain that had gripped her for a decade started to lift. She moved her arms and legs and realized that the stiffness was gone; every bit of pain in her joints had disappeared.

But Mirta wasn’t the only one touched by God that day. The team also encountered Nesto, a 62-year-old man who had been blind since 2020. Before prayer, he could only make out a small amount of light, but after the team prayed, his vision began to change. He suddenly noticed more light and shadows, and to his amazement, he was able to see his own fingers again. Nesto seemed mesmerized, staring at his hands in wonder as he realized that sight was returning.

In that hospital waiting room, two lives were changed forever, one freed from years of crippling arthritis, the other beginning to see the world again after years of darkness. Both Mirta and Nesto left with powerful testimonies of God’s love and healing power at work in their lives.
