Our team works to provide safe meals for all team members during their time in each country. A typical weekly menu will include Chicken, Beef, Eggs, or Pork. Should you want to supplement between meals we suggest that you bring snacks. But most team members are content with the menu provided.
Our team will communicate with you as we plan the menu and foresee that extra snacks will be needed.
Most medicine and medical devices are safe for travel. But we ask that you discuss your condition with one of our Mission Coaches, complete your Blue Forms, and confirm with your doctor that you are able to safely travel and how to travel with your device.
**Please Note: All prescription medicine should be in its original bottle for travel. Not all prescriptions, over-the-counter medicine, or medically used substances, are legal in other countries. It is important that you list all medications on your Blue Forms so that a mission coach can help you determine what may not be safe to bring.
Typically, we arrange accommodations in nice-quality hotels for the area, to meet the needs of our team. In the rare instances when hotels are not an option, we opt for comfortable dormitory-style lodging.
**Please Note: You’ll have a roommate for the duration of your trip! If you’re not traveling with a friend or group, don’t worry—a roommate will be assigned to you. Our Mission Coaches thoughtfully consider each team member when making room assignments and even pray about finding the best match for you! We hope you’ll leave with a lifelong mission bestie!
We can’t guarantee that our hotel will have the available space, but once you apply for your trip, please inform one of our Mission Coaches of your preference. They will consider it when making room assignments, though please note that this amenity is not standard and would incur additional fees.
Yes! We want to keep your family together, so we will try to facilitate you being in the same hotel room for the duration of the trip. Should the hotel we are booked at not have accommodations large enough for your family, our Mission Coaches will coordinate with you on how to best divide the rooms up.
We strive to book hotels with accessible Wi-Fi, but we can’t guarantee it will be strong enough for the entire team at all times. Therefore, we recommend ensuring you have access to international coverage through your phone plan if constant contact is essential.
Yes! We strive to keep families and/or groups together. The only time that this doesn’t happen is if your family or group is too big, but we will contact you to make sure that people are split in a way that will be best for everyone.
We make sure that everyone is involved in every aspect of ministry and preaches at their own pace. You’ll be given a script to memorize, and your team leader will be right there with you!
Your passport allows you to travel to each country, and acts as a form of ID when you are entering. Some countries also require you to have a visa, which is just an extra form of identification, and allows you to enter the country.
Global Ventures’ priority is team member safety, and part of how we do that is ensuring that you arrive safely back in the USA after your trip. Therefore, we only allow our team members to travel within the dates of their Global Ventures trip.
Each team member is responsible for their own luggage. We are a team, and we try to help each other out, but we cannot guarantee that help will be available.
We want to make getting to the mission field as easy as possible for you, so we take care of all aspects of the trip. Your trip cost covers: Domestic and International airfare for team members traveling from the USA, lodging and meals, team translators, daily transportation, visas, travel insurance for team members traveling from the USA, a t-shirt, and service projects.

- Tetanus (This one is important!)
- Yellow Fever (We will inform you if this required for the trip you have applied for.)

Because of IRS regulations, we are unable to issue refunds for any reason. You do still have several options, such as:
- You can hold your funds to be used for the following trip year (if you choose this option, you will have until the date given to you by the financial dept. to choose your trip. Otherwise, the funds will be allocated to the general trip fund.)
- You can donate the funds to the General trip cost or a GV Crusade of your choice.
- You can donate the funds to another team member.
We have been working closely with an agency for several years that specializes in missions travel. We handle all communications with them, so if you have a question regarding your flight, please let one of our Mission Coaches know.

Any overages or additional charges incurred due to not adhering to the 50lbs weight limit will be at the expense of the team member.
