Hello South America Team Members!

We can’t wait to see you in just a matter of weeks! You should be getting your flight packets very soon. We wanted to send you some very important information about the COVID-19 testing requirements from the government of Ecuador.

All travelers will need to have a negative test result before boarding their first flight for Ecuador.  GV team members will need to be tested no earlier than 7:00am on Wednesday, June 9th for week 1 or Combo and no earlier than 7:00am on Wednesday, June 16th for those traveling for week 2 only. You will need to have a printed and digital copy of your negative test result prior to travel.

The COVID-19 tests allowed are the Rapid Antigen Test and the RT-PCR Test. Most Antigen tests can give results within 15-60 minutes, but most RT-PCR tests take 36-72 hours to process unless you can get expedited processing. PLEASE CONFIRM GUARANTEED PROCESSING TIMES BEFORE CONFIRMING YOUR TESTING APPOINTMENT.

If you completed your COVID-19 vaccination series, you may show your CDC vaccination card upon arrival in Ecuador and you do not have to get tested. We ask that you also bring a photocopy of your passport and vaccine card (on the same sheet of paper) to allow for quicker processing at the airport in Ecuador.

We advise that you contact your doctor’s office or local health department to see what testing options are in your area and the processing times. At this time, we are not allowing “self-test” kits that you do from home due to credibility and punctuality issues.

Below is information that may help you find testing options in your area:

  1. Start by talking to your doctor about where the best place is to get a test with fast results.
  2. There is an online portal called Test for Travel that may show providers in your city. **This website may not show all options in your area**

If you live in the Tulsa area, we recommend the following places:

Airports that offer testing, but appointments are likely required.

Bradley International Airport

Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD)

Dallas / Fort Worth International Airport (DFW

Los Angeles International Airport (LAX)

Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport (MSP)

New York-LaGuardia (LGA)

Portland International Jetport (PWM)

Tampa International Airport (TPA)

If you find any of these resources useful for your preparations, please let us know so we can pass it along. We look forward to seeing you in Ecuador and enjoying reaching the lost together with you!

Many blessings,

Terri Bell,
